Pastor Kris Duerksen
We are honoured to be led by Kris & LaDawn Duerksen. Their love and passion for people is contagious and their desire for God's Word to be preached with honesty, grace and intelligence is evident.

You'll find Kris' teaching both thought provoking and biblically balanced as he wants everyone to see life through the lens of what Christ did on the Cross.

Meet The Staff
Exec Pastor
Orville is Crossview Church's Exec Pastor and brings a background of business organization, accountability, and structure. He is passionate about prayer and has a long history of involvement in prayer ministry.


Discipleship Pastor
Carl’s love for people paired with strong organization skills are the perfect blend for his role as Discipleship Pastor. Carl values relationships and you will usually find him visiting in the lobby before & after services. He has a strong desire to help others find connection within our church as well as in their own communities.

Worship Director
Sarah is our Worship Director. She has served on worship teams for about 30 years and is passionate about raising up the next generation of worship leaders - whether on stage or behind the scenes in production. She is also a high school teacher this is her 20th year teaching in HSD!

Healthcare Administration
Lucille loves the church and the teaching of God’s Word. Lucille has worked in healthcare administration for much of her career, and brings a wealth of experience working with boards and CEOs in the healthcare sector. She and her husband Bob have two married children and 5 grandkids.

Local Business Owner
Jon is a licensed accountant, and an entrepreneur who has started a number of businesses. Jon is passionate and generous in giving and sees the business world as his mission field. He and his wife Susan have 3 children.

Local Business Owner
Doug and his wife Carla have a passion for youth and kids ministries and a long history of leadership and involvement in those areas. Doug is also a business owner with a passion for generosity and discipleship in the marketplace. Doug & Carla have three sons, one of whom is now married.

Local Business Owner
Eric has a passion for our local community, Steinbach and region. He is involved in the community in numerous ways, serving in various community organizations and also regularly engaging in acts of kindness and generosity towards people and groups in the area. He also loves praying and is the leader of our prayer ministry at Crossview. He and his wife Carol have 3 children, and one grandson.

Local Real Estate Agent
Paul is a successful business owner and agent who sees his work as a mission field, regularly sharing Jesus and praying with people as he works. Paul has a real heart for those who are going through difficulties and loves visiting people who are in the hospital or who are going through difficult things. He has been married to his wife, Susan, for 40 years and they have two married adult children, and 2 delightful grandchildren.

Healthcare Administration
Liona works in administration at Steinbach Family Medical and has been on planning committees in that organization. Liona has a desire to help guide the direction of the church, bring ideas and support the church and the staff in whatever way she can. She and her husband Freddy live in Steinbach and have two children.

Project Manager
Bonnie is a Project Manager with experience in consumer lending, as well as having been a board member of a local organization. She sees her work on the board as an opportunity to participate in furthering the direction Crossview is already going in. Bonnie loves how God reminds her how His ways and thoughts are greater and while she is only able to see a small piece, He sees all things.

Entrepreneur
Brad and his wife Pam have two children, live in Mitchell and have been at Crossview Church from its very beginning! Brad is an entrepreneur partnered in local small business in Steinbach, he is excited to see what is happening in and through Crossview and has a strong desire to help the church as it grows and develops. He has served on several not-for-profit boards and currently hosts the GriefShare program offsite (both spring and fall sessions) for Crossview. Brad describes his walk with Jesus as a journey and shares that recently, “the growing realization that having God in his everything, has been uplifting, freeing and sometimes scary all at the same time.”
